For my university degree, we were asked in studio to create a new brand for New Zealand Natural, the ice cream company. My approach was to create a new logo for the brand, along with a colour scheme and marketing collateral to showcase the design.
The logo uses the famous silver fern, associated with New Zealand nature and easily recognisable. This arches over an ice-cream cone, as the current New Zealand Natural logo doesn't actually indicate that they are an ice-cream company, which seemed like a big issue to me!
The colour scheme is inspired by natural colours found in New Zealand, particularly the water, forests, and sunsets.
