As part of my studio for my masters degree, we were asked to create a speculative book cover for Anaesthesia, a book by Kate Cole-Adams and printed by Text Publishing.
I resolved to create something that reflected a sentence from the book: "a web of tiny illuminations and extinctions that seem, when I loosed my gaze, almost to form patterns."
I used a bokeh light effect, and created a font that was warped and distorted, reflecting how it feels to go under anaesthesia - things fading out of focus, wavering in your eyes.
